Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Marine Studies or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Marine Superintendent with container vessels or bulk carriers.
• Valid Certificate of Competency Class 1 - Master Mariner.
• Strong knowledge of marine operations, cargo handling and international safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of marine operations for assigned vessels to ensure safety, efficiency and compliance.
• Monitor vessel operations for adherence to regulations, policies and standards.
• Provide technical guidance to Masters and crew on navigation, cargo handling and safety.
• Conduct vessel inspections, audits and assessments to maintain safety and compliance.
• Coordinate with Masters, port authorities and stakeholders to support operations.
• Evaluate vessel performance, fuel efficiency, voyage planning and cargo ops.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions to enhance safety.
• Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL and other regs; support SMS improvements.
• Collaborate with internal/external parties to resolve challenges and improve fleet performance.
