Qualifications

• Qualified Master Mariner with minimum 24 months experience.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Marine Superintendent handling bulkers with a reputable shipping company.
• Strong understanding of operations and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vessel operations to ensure safe navigation and compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
• Ensure vessels comply with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, ISPS Code, and Flag State requirements.
• Support vessels in meeting charterer and operational requirements.
• Prepare vessels for PSC, Flag State, and other inspections.
• Plan and conduct internal vessel audits and inspections.
• Monitor certification validity and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Monitor, review, and follow up on incidents, near misses, and non-conformities.
• Participate in or lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor closure of HSEQ reports and audit findings to support continuous improvement.
• Provide operational and HSEQ guidance to Masters and crew.
• Identify training needs and support safety and operational training initiatives.
• Support contingency and emergency response activities.
• Act as Company Security Officer (CSO) / Alternate CSO or Designated Person Ashore (DPA) / Alternate DPA when appointed.
• Support vessel in safe navigation and passage planning.
