Job summary

Oceanstar Elite Engineering Groups Pte. Ltd. seeks a senior mechanical engineer to lead design, specification and delivery of major marine equipment packages on offshore projects.

You will own critical systems such as diesel generators, steam boilers, deck cranes and cargo pumps, review vendor documents, and drive FAT/SAT commissioning while mentoring junior engineers. Strong English communication is required for global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• Over 10 years of experience, with minimum 5 years in FPSO/offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of API, ASME, IACS, IMO regulations and vibration/reliability.
• Ability to work independently and make key technical decisions.
• Proven capability as a discipline specialist within project teams.
• Effective written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, specification, datasheet and selection of major marine mechanical equipment packages.
• Take ownership of critical packages (diesel generator, steam boiler, deck crane, cargo pump).
• Review and approve datasheets, specifications, engineering deliverables and vendor documents.
• Lead technical bid evaluations and vendor clarifications.
• Act as technical authority during FAT, SAT and commissioning.
• Manage interfaces across disciplines and packages.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with project, client and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements
