Job summary

Equatorial Marine Fuel Management Services Pte Ltd is seeking a Chief Engineer for a bunker tanker operating around Singapore. You will oversee safe and efficient machinery operation, maintain engine and cargo systems, and plan preventive maintenance.

The role requires a valid COC, STCW Basic Safety and Fire Fighting, and at least 3 years' seagoing experience on bunker tankers in Singapore; Cummins experience is preferred. You will support audits and ensure readiness of equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) issued by a recognized maritime authority.
• STCW-compliant certification (Basic Safety, Advanced Fire Fighting, Medical First Aid, Tanker Familiarization).
• Minimum 3 years of experience onboard bunker tanker operating in Singapore.
• Experience on Cummins engine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe and efficient operation of all machinery onboard the bunker tanker.
• Maintain main engine, auxiliary machinery, pumps and cargo handling systems.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure readiness of bunker transfer equipment and support safe cargo operations.
• Maintain proper documentation and records (logbooks, PMS, defect reporting).
• Support audits, inspections and port/flag state control requirements.
