Job summary

GE Vernova International LLC Singapore Branch seeks an experienced Project Engineer to support commissioning of marine electrical power, propulsion, and automation systems on naval and commercial vessels. The role requires on-site technical support and coordination with overseas Field Service Engineers, project management, shipyards and suppliers.

You will drive pre-commissioning activities, testing, integration, and documentation while sharing lessons learned for future projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years in marine electrical power, automation, or commissioning.
• Hands-on testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system integration.
• Knowledge of MV/LV switchboards, generators, AVR, relays, transformers, and distribution.
• Familiarity with PMS, PCS, PLCs, and automation networks.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams and schematics.
• Experience coordinating with customers, shipyards, suppliers, and engineers.
• Strong written and spoken English abilities.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning Execution: coordinate pre-commissioning, inspections, testing, system integration, HAT, and SAT for marine systems.
• Power Systems: provide technical support for MV/LV switchboards, generators, AVR, protection relays, transformers, and chargers.
• Automation & Propulsion: support commissioning and troubleshooting of PMS, PCS, drives, motors, and PLC networks.
• FSE Coordination: manage overseas FSEs and handovers during rotations.
• Project Planning: monitor progress, prepare look-ahead schedules, and flag delays.
• Documentation: maintain reports, punch lists, and issue registers.
• Knowledge Transfer: capture lessons learned for future vessel commissioning.
• Customer & Supplier Coordination: act as onsite technical lead under PM guidance.
