Job summary

AXA XL in Singapore is seeking a Claims Specialist / Senior Claims Specialist focused on marine lines. You will handle cargo, hull, and liability claims, lead and support multi-jurisdictional cases, and work with underwriters and clients to deliver prompt, fair outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of Claims, you will manage settlements, supervise claims processes, and contribute to market presentations to raise AXA XL’s profile in Asia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the relevant class of business.
• Able to perform tasks according to established procedures, with some ability to exercise discretion.
• Analytical skills to visualize, gather information, articulate, analyze and solve complex problems.
• Strategy and planning to deliver on strategic business plans and targets.
• Industry knowledge of the insurance sector and product portfolios.
• Marketing to support sales and business development.

Responsibilities

• Client servicing and liaison with underwriters and management.
• Adjust and settle reinsurance and insurance claims within authority.
• Negotiate with insureds, brokers, cedants and loss adjusters to provide prompt claims service.
• Oversee claims administration and ensure timely system entry and reporting to management.
• Maintain task calendars to keep claims updated and aligned with corporate targets.
• Ensure adherence to claims handling procedures and accurate reporting for underwriting and renewals.
