Job summary

AXA XL in Singapore seeks a Claims Specialist / Senior Claims Specialist – Marine to actively handle marine claims (cargo/hull/liability) as lead and following insurer across multi-jurisdictional Asia region. You will report to Head of Claims, Singapore and drive prompt, fair, efficient service.

Responsibilities include negotiating with insureds, brokers and loss adjusters, managing reinsurance settlements, overseeing claims admin, and contributing to market presentations to raise AXA XL's

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the relevant class of business.
• Able to perform tasks according to established procedures, with some ability to exercise discretion
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to support key business decisions

Responsibilities

• Client servicing, liaison with underwriters and reporting to management.
• Manage the adjustment of reinsurance and insurance claims up to given handling and settlement authority.
• Negotiate and liaise with insureds, brokers, cedants, loss adjusters and other service providers to deliver prompt and fair claims service.
• Oversee claims administration, including processing advice & settlements, liaising with accounts on payments, ensuring correct data entry and timely reporting to management.
• Maintain and diarize tasks to keep claims updated for efficient handling.
• Ensure claims are handled per claims handling procedures and provide accurate reports to Underwriters for marketing/renewals.
• Set up and maintain databases to record service providers details in line with objectives.
• Support Underwriters in marketing/risk selection and lead occasional market presentations to raise AXA XL’s profile.
• Lead/participate in internal projects to improve team efficiency and profitability.
• Engage brokers/clients to gather insights for improved service and participate in regional market presentations.
