Job summary

Bio‑Rad Laboratories, Inc. in Singapore seeks an experienced manufacturing leader to oversee operations, troubleshoot complex production issues, and drive continuous improvement across equipment and processes.

The role requires strong leadership of supervisors and teams, budget management up to $2M, and collaboration with other sites for transfers and obsolescence planning. Familiarity with SAP and Lean Six Sigma concepts is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years manufacturing production experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
• 8–10 years of supervisory or people management experience.
• Experience with hand tools, automated tooling, and inspection gauges.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production equipment and quality issues in a regulated environment.
• Familiarity with SAP and other manufacturing materials management systems.
• ISO 13485 training and FDA-regulated line experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots production, equipment, and process issues with root-cause analysis to minimize cost, downtime and quality risk.
• Escalation point for technical/process challenges; applies hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
• Leads and mentors production supervisors and teams; handles employee relations matters.
• Plans production operations, schedules, priorities, and sequencing across product lines.
• Develops and enforces SOPs, work practices, and quality standards.
• Prepares department budgets and capacity plans; manages up to $2M budget.
• Implements strategic plans with other sites, including transfers and obsolescence planning.
• Implements capital equipment improvements to boost productivity.
• Ensures compliance with hazardous materials handling and regulatory requirements.
