Job summary

SD Legal seeks a senior compliance and company secret professional to join its established legal and compliance team in Singapore, handling KYC, AML, sanctions, investigations, privacy and policy. You will design and manage entity structures, oversee formation/merger matters, and draft critical corporate documents.

You will coordinate with senior stakeholders across Asia, the US and Europe on confidential projects and act as the APAC project lead, delivering timely guidance and governance.

Qualifications

• 7–14 years experience in compliance and company secret work.
• Strong technical experience across compliance and company secret related work.
• Excellent project management skills with experience across Asia.
• Strong communication with stakeholders across Asia, the US and Europe.
• Motivated, balanced, mature and energetic.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Global Head of Compliance and Directors in Singapore on KYC, AML, Sanctions, Investigations, Privacy and Policy.
• Design, manage and update entity structures, including formation, merger and compliance.
• Review and draft formation documents, dividends, board meetings and resolutions.
• Project manage and influence stakeholders across internal teams regionally and globally on confidential projects.
• Be the first point of contact for critical APAC projects.

Job description

Our client is a Fortune 500 MNC, employing 10,000+ worldwide and with a focus across consumer goods & services. You will be joining an established legal and compliance team in Singapore which covers the APAC region.

Responsibilities

• This is a high profile role in Singapore with daily interaction with the Global Head of Compliance various Directors across the business. You will support the L&C team in key areas such as KYC, Trade, AML, Sanctions, Investigations, Privacy and Policy.
• You will work closely with these senior team members to design, manage and update various entity structures. This work includes all formation, merger and compliance related matters.
• You will also review and draft of various documents relating to the firms legal structure, these include formation documents, dividends, board meetings and resolutions.
• You will project manage / influence stakeholders across key internal teams (regionally and sometimes globally) on a variety of special and often confidential projects, such as new technology, processes and general corporate work.
• You will become a first point of contact for critical projects in the APAC group.

Requirements

• 7 - 14 years experience
• Strong technical experience across compliance and company sec related work
• Technically strong across Asia with excellent project management skills
• Communication skills to handle a variety of stakeholders across Asia, the US and Europe
• Motivated, balanced, mature and energetic
