Job summary

NParks in Singapore is seeking a proactive media relations professional to join our communications team. You will craft strategic stories and liaise with mainstream and online media to highlight City in Nature initiatives.

From media releases to speeches and issue management, you will help shape NParks' reputation, guide corporate events, branding, and public communications projects, with opportunities to explore videos and long-form content.

Qualifications

• Mass Communications, Marketing, English, or related fields plus at least 1 year of integrated communications experience.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may be considered.
• Experience in media relations, social media, and/or issues and crisis management.
• Excellent news sense and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills.
• Team player who thrives in collaboration and can work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; excellent command of English.

What the role is

Join us at NParks to be part of a dynamic media relations team that spearheads strategic and integrated communications efforts for our City in Nature! You'll be at the forefront of our integrated communications efforts, crafting compelling stories for mainstream and online media to gain mindshare and develop a greater appreciation of the exciting (and meaningful) work we do.

What you will be working on

As part of a driven media relations team, you will craft strategic communications plans to spotlight NParks' initiatives, uncover fresh angles and develop captivating narratives. From drafting media releases to speeches and anticipating and managing issues, you'll play a key role in managing NParks' reputation and driving awareness and appreciation for our programmes and efforts. Beyond traditional media, you'll have the chance to explore diverse content formats, from captivating videos to insightful long-form articles. As a key member of the communications team, you will also provide communications counsel to other divisions on corporate events, issues/crisis management, branding and other public communications projects.

What we are looking for

• Mass Communications, Marketing, English, or related fields, coupled with at least 1 year of relevant integrated communications experience.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered.
