Job summary

ST Engineering's Unmanned & Integrated Systems division seeks a Senior Manager to orchestrate operational management of complex aviation technology projects. You will lead multidisciplinary teams spanning engineering, digital services and business operations, ensuring schedules, budgets and safety standards are met.

You will optimize resources, drive process improvements, manage SLAs, and partner with internal stakeholders to deliver high-value solutions for Defence, Public Safety & Security and

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in aviation technology and systems integration.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams under high-pressure conditions.
• Degree in Engineering or related field; MBA or professional certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, execution and delivery of aviation technology projects, ensuring timelines, budgets and regulatory standards.
• Manage service management and lifecycle support with SLAs to guarantee system availability and customer satisfaction.
• Lead pre-sales and solutioning for major tenders, directing bid management and feasibility assessments.
• Drive continuous improvement programs within the Systems & Integration BU, optimizing workflows and deployment of advanced technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, digital services and commercial teams to maximize system performance and value.

As the Senior Manager of ATE and System & Integration Business Unit Operations, you will be at the forefront, orchestrating the operational management of complex projects and programmes. Your leadership will ensure seamless integration between multidisciplinary teams spanning engineering, digital services, and business operations. • Lead the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of sophisticated aviation technology projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards.
• Service Management & Lifecycle Support ensuring seamless transition from implementation to ongoing maintenance and managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to guarantee high system availability and customer satisfaction.
• Pre-Sales & Solutioning for major tenders - leading technical solution design, conducting feasibility assessments, and directing bid management to ensure innovative, compliant, and profitable proposals.
• Drive continuous improvement programmes within the Systems & Integration Business Unit, refining workflows and enhancing the deployment of advanced technologies.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, digital services, and commercial teams to streamline integration efforts and maximise overall system performance.
• Develop robust risk management frameworks to identify potential challenges proactively and implement mitigation strategies, maintaining compliance with all industry regulations and safety standards.
• Champion a positive, inclusive, and innovative team culture through mentoring, coaching, and professional development initiatives, building a resilient and high-performing workforce.
• Act as a key ambassador for the Aviation Technology & Engineering Division in various forums, both internal and external, promoting ST Engineering's reputation as a leader in aviation technology and digital services.
• Oversee resource planning and capacity management to ensure project delivery capabilities are aligned with business priorities and growth targets.
• Utilise data-driven approaches and performance metrics to continuously assess operational efficiency and drive strategic enhancements.

Qualities We Value

• Extensive and demonstrable experience in aviation technology, systems integration, engineering, and operational management, preferably within IT Infra or defence industries.
• A proven leader adept at managing multidisciplinary teams under high-pressure, technology-driven project environments.
• Track record of successfully steering large-scale, complex projects across all lifecycle phases, from conception through to delivery and support.
• Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with hands-on experience driving operational alignment with innovative digital service solutions.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing across diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
• A degree in Engineering, Technology Management, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications (e.g. MBA, professional certifications) will be an advantage.
• Sound understanding of industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance processes related to aerospace and aviation technology.
