Job description

We are partnered with one of China's most exciting and fastest-growing collectible toy brands. Known for its globally recognised IP and a rapidly expanding international fanbase, the company has built a strong presence across Europe and Asia-Pacific, with subsidiaries in markets including the UK, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia. The Singapore office functions as the regional financial hub — a lean, senior team with direct access to Group leadership in China HQ and real ownership across multiple markets.

What You Will Do
  • Lead international tax strategy, planning, and compliance across European (UK, France, Germany, Spain, etc.) and Asia-Pacific (Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, etc.) entities.
  • Drive cross-regional transfer pricing, compliance filings, and tax risk assessments across both regions simultaneously.
  • Design tax-efficient structures for cross-border transactions, intercompany arrangements, and group reorganisations.
  • Partner with the Group CFO to embed tax governance frameworks and manage indirect tax obligations (VAT/GST) across jurisdictions.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, external advisers, and auditors to manage audits, rulings, and dispute resolution.
  • Support financial reporting on tax-related matters, acting as the tax voice in key business decisions.
What We Are Looking For
  • Eligibility: Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (PR) only. Candidates requiring work pass or PR sponsorship will not be considered.
  • Language: Fluent in both English and Mandarin — essential for seamless communication with China HQ and overseas teams.
  • Experience: A solid working knowledge of international tax law covering BOTH Europe and Asia-Pacific is a core requirement.
  • Candidates with direct, hands-on European tax and finance experience (covering at least one European jurisdiction) will be given preference.
  • You past work experience do not need to have been physically based in desired countries(UK, France, Germany, Spain, etc.) and Asia-Pacific (Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, etc) — remote or shared-service centre support experience covering these regions is equally valued. We are looking for someone who has genuinely worked across both tax jurisdictions, whether through in-country postings, a regional finance shared-service centre, or a combination of both.
Why This Role
  • High visibility: direct access to the Group CFO and cross-regional leadership.
  • Despite overseeing finance operations across multiple countries, the team is deliberately kept small and structurally flat, ensuring strong visibility and short decision-making cycles
  • Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience (details discussed at interview stage).
  • Join at an inflection point as the business scales its global footprint.
