Job summary

Kerry Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Manager of Estimating Engineering Projects to lead regional cost estimation for advanced technology facilities, semiconductor, life sciences and data centres. You will oversee cost planning, tendering and benchmarking for large-scale projects.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in estimating, with at least 5 years in leadership, and proven ability to manage multidisciplinary estimates across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related discipline.
• 12+ years of estimating experience, with at least 5 years in estimating management/leadership.
• Experience in multidisciplinary estimates across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Experience in advanced technology facilities, semiconductor manufacturing, life sciences or data centres, esp. projects > S$500 million.
• Strong cost planning, benchmarking, value engineering and commercial risk assessment skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and advanced Excel.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage regional estimating activities, overseeing the preparation, review and delivery of comprehensive cost estimates across multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Develop estimating plans, coordinate resources, manage cost benchmarking, first-principles estimating, risk allowances and value engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, project management and commercial teams to ensure accurate and competitive estimates through design and tendering lifecycle.
• Lead commercial reviews, engage with clients and senior stakeholders, manage estimating changes and drive continuous improvement in estimating methodologies and cost intelligence.

Senior Manager, Estimating Engineering Projects

About the Role

You will be delivering complex engineering projects across advanced technology facilities, semiconductor, life sciences and data center sectors. In this role, you will oversee regional estimating activities, providing technical and commercial expertise in cost planning, tendering and project estimation for large-scale engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• You will manage regional estimating activities, overseeing the preparation, review and delivery of comprehensive cost estimates across multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• You will develop estimating plans, coordinate resources, and manage cost benchmarking, first-principles estimating, risk allowances and value engineering initiatives.
• Working closely with engineering, procurement, project management and commercial teams, you will ensure accurate and competitive estimates throughout the design and tendering lifecycle.
• You will also lead commercial reviews, engage with clients and senior stakeholders, manage estimating changes and drive continuous improvement in estimating methodologies, systems and regional cost intelligence.

Key Requirements

• You should possess a degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 12 years of relevant estimating experience, including a minimum of 5 years in an estimating management or leadership capacity.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary estimates across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines is essential, ideally within fast-track design-and-build or large-scale engineering projects.
• Experience in advanced technology facilities, semiconductor manufacturing, life sciences or data centres, particularly projects exceeding S$500 million, would be advantageous.
• Strong capabilities in cost planning, first-principles estimating, benchmarking, value engineering and commercial risk assessment are required, alongside proficiency in estimating software and advanced Excel.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, commercial judgement and team leadership skills are essential.
