Job summary

Eastspring Investments is seeking a Business Analyst to drive requirements across Investments, Operations, Finance, Data, and Technology. The role focuses on data flows, lineage, quality, and AI opportunities, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to shape fit-for-purpose solutions.

The candidate will support change management, data mapping, and governance, ensuring successful implementation of data and technology transformation initiatives within the asset management context in Singapore.

Qualifications

• 5-8 yrs financial services BA experience, preferably in asset management, data or technology transformation.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work with Investments, Operations, Finance, Data and Technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Elicits requirements from Investments, Operations, Finance, Data and Technology stakeholders.
• Analyses requirements focusing on data flows, lineage, quality and AI opportunities.
• Performs data analysis to support data quality, standardisation, lineage and reconciliation.
• Maintains stakeholder relationships and secures sign-off on requirements and mappings.
• Liaises with service providers and technology teams to manage constraints.
• Supports change management and implementation including adoption planning.
• Manages data/AI-enabled transformation initiatives and provides governance reporting.

Key Accountabilities

Requirements Gathering:

• Elicits requirements from Investments, Operations, Finance, Data and Technology stakeholders.
• Analyses requirements with focus on data flows, lineage, quality, controls and AI opportunities.
• Conducts impact assessments across processes, systems, data models and operating models.
• Performs data analysis to support data quality, standardisation, lineage, reconciliation and business readiness.
• Maintains stakeholder relationships and obtains sign-off on requirements, data mappings and testing artefacts.
• Liaises with service providers and technology teams to align requirements and manage solution constraints.

Solution Assessment And Validation

• Works with Architecture, Data and Technology teams to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Facilitates workshops to shape solution options, workflows and design documents.
• Supports functional, integration, data, regression and UAT, including business readiness planning.

Change Management And Implementation Support

• Supports change management by providing content for stakeholder communications and adoption planning.
• Provides implementation support including query resolution, troubleshooting, vendor liaison and issue triage.

Project Management (small Projects)

• Manage data, technology and AI-enabled transformation initiatives, coordinating teams to keep delivery on track
• Provide stakeholder reporting covering progress, risks, dependencies and decisions required
• Administer governance forums to support decisions, prioritisation and risk / issue resolution
• Contributes to project management processes, including status reporting, RAID, change control, compliance and benefits tracking

General Candidate Attributes

• Has strong interpersonal skills and communicates effectively with business, technology, data and vendor stakeholders.
• Understands defined project management, business analysis and change delivery methodologies and frameworks
• Experience as a BA within asset management or equivalent financial services, preferably across data or technology transformation.
• Familiar with Asian markets, regional operating practices and Singapore-based investment stakeholders.
• Is self-motivated, self-driving and able to operate independently in ambiguous, cross-functional environments.
• Attentive to detail and able to turn complex data, technology and process challenges into actionable requirements.
• Experienced in process mapping, data mapping, requirements capture, stakeholder analysis, traceability and AI use-case framing.

Domain Specific Attributes

• Working knowledge of portfolio management, risk, compliance and buy-side investment lifecycle processes.
• Working experience across major asset classes and related data, trade and processing lifecycles.
• Strong foundation in buy-side data models, including portfolio, security, market, pricing, transaction, position, finance, product and data quality.
• Experience with Aladdin will be advantageous
• Experienced in dealing directly with portfolio managers, dealers, operations, finance, technology and data stakeholders

Qualifications / Experience

• Degree level or higher
• 5-8 yrs Financial Services BA experience, preferably in asset management, data or technology transformation
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
