KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

We are seeking a candidate to join the Equity Income team in Singapore. Responsibilities include conducting fundamental research, making investment recommendations, and contributing to portfolio construction across Income, Real Estate, and Asia Pacific ex Japan equity mandates.

The team is style-agnostic; the candidate should demonstrate the ability to form robust investment views and stock recommendations across the value-growth spectrum. Collaboration with other style verticals within Eastspring is essential.

Responsibilities include:
  • Equity Research/Portfolio Construction: Conduct fundamental security and ESG analysis on stocks, articulate structured investment cases considering risk-reward, and participate in portfolio meetings to translate ideas into investment outcomes.
  • Cross-team collaboration: Engage actively with other focus teams due to the style-agnostic approach.
  • Fund Management initiatives: Collaborate with portfolio managers on client review meetings, fund reviews, and monitoring of cash and corporate actions.
Experience / Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of experience in equities research with a proven track record in stock recommendations. Portfolio management experience is a plus.
  • Experience covering Asia Pacific ex-Japan equities preferred. Candidates with experience in Real Estate, Technology Hardware, or Internet sectors willing to expand regionally will be considered.
  • Ability to make high-conviction stock recommendations amidst uncertainty, with humility to adjust views.
  • Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong skills in financial modelling, investment analysis, and valuation methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills to present research findings effectively.
