Job summary

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) invites applications for a research-focused economist role within the Labour Market and Research Division of the Economic Policy Group. You will conduct in-depth macroeconomic and financial analysis relevant to Singapore, contributing to policy discussions and assessments.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, apply econometric methods and AI-enabled tools, and present findings to MAS policymakers.

Qualifications

• PhD or Research Master’s degree in Economics or closely related field.
• Strong background in theoretical and empirical macroeconomics with understanding of Singapore’s policy context.
• Substantial experience in quantitative economic/financial analysis and independent research.

Responsibilities

• Develop policy-oriented macroeconomic/financial analyses for Singapore.
• Apply econometric methods and AI-enabled analytical tools in policy analysis.
• Provide research-based policy advice to MAS management and brief policymakers.
