Job summary

Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is seeking a researcher for the Labour Market and Research Division within the Economic Policy Group. You will conduct policy-oriented research and in-depth macroeconomic analysis relevant to Singapore.

You will apply econometric methods and AI-enabled analytics, provide research-based policy advice to MAS management, and brief policymakers on your findings. This is a 1-year contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

• PhD or Research Master’s degree in Economics or a closely related field.
• A background in theoretical and empirical macroeconomics and Singapore’s policy context.
• Substantial experience in quantitative economic or financial analysis and independent research.
• Good writing and presentation skills in English, as well as interpersonal skills.
• A strong interest in contributing to public policymaking in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Conduct policy-oriented research within MAS’s Economic Policy Group.
• Perform in-depth macroeconomic and financial analysis for Singapore.
• Apply econometric methods and AI-enabled tools to policy analysis.
• Provide research-based policy advice to MAS management and brief policymakers.
