Senior M&E Project Engineer – Coordination & Site Leadership

Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced M&E Construction Engineer to supervise and coordinate M&E services on major projects in Singapore. You will work with clients, consultants and sub-contractors to ensure timely delivery within programme and coastal requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years’ experience in a main contractor setting. Independent work style and strong safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Main Contractor involving M&E works.
• Able to work independently.
• Good safety knowledge and attitude.
• Ability to liaise with statutory authorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in supervising and coordinating all services and complete within programme.
• Work closely with clients, consultants and sub-contractors on technical matters.
• Supervise and coordinate M&E services work and coordinate with other department staff to meet project timelines.
• Conduct detailed M&E coordination with all specialist contractors.
• Coordinate with BIM modelers, coordinators and Project Engineers/Project Managers of various M&E contractors.
• Carry out testing and commissioning of M&E works.
• Manage sub-contractors and in-progress production planning & build.
• Execute mechanical and electrical works in construction.
• Supervise day-to-day site works.
• Handle project supervision and documentation.
• Manage M&E subcontractors’ submissions of method statements, drawings, materials, samples and work progress.
• Prepare Coordinated Services Drawing (CSD) and penetration drawing and coordinate with BIM team.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of CSD.
• Attend progress/site/MEP meetings.
• Compliance with standards, code of practice and safety regulations.
• Ensure quality of works and safety compliance.
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned.
