Job summary

Gammon Pte. Limited is seeking an experienced M&E Construction Manager to oversee mechanical and electrical coordination on large building projects in Singapore.

You will monitor progress, ensure quality workmanship, and align with project schedules while liaising with design consultants and internal teams. The role requires a degree in M&E engineering, 8+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering recognised by PE Board / BCA or relevant M&E accreditation.
• 8+ years’ experience in Building Engineering projects.
• Senior role consideration for more experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand contract requirements and monitor progress, quality of workmanship and schedule.
• Liaise with design consultants on M&E design drawings and advise on provisions.
• Coordinate with in-house teams to minimize discrepancies.
• Check and prepare material samples with shop drawings.
• Manage M&E subcontractors, shop drawings, materials, and method statements.
• Attend M&E coordination meetings and issue coordination drawings.
• Ensure proper M&E drawing management and filing on site.
• Ensure timely production and submission of shop drawings and submissions.
• Lead M&E package delivery, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Ensure all site M&E activities are well-planned and on time.
• Work with planners on the project schedule.
• Coordinate utilities services installation and maintenance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to follow approved shop drawings, materials and methods.
• Conduct pre-inspections with subcontractors prior to RE and RTO inspections.
• Carry out testing and commissioning for mechanical & electrical aspects.
• Update and follow up on variation orders with client and consultant.
• Deep understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems.
