Job summary

Citi's Equities Technology organization in APAC is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and deliver Citi's next-gen low-latency execution platform for the APAC region, covering Algorithmic Trading, Smart Order Routing, connectivity, and market data processing.

You will collaborate with traders, quants, and product teams, contribute to testing frameworks, CI/CD, and platform monitoring, and help drive agile practices in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with Java and/or C#.
• Experience developing automated trading platforms.
• Python knowledge is a plus.
• Strong understanding of automated testing techniques.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration processes.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set goals, and meet deadlines.

Job description

Citi Equities Technology organization is looking for a senior software engineer in the APAC Equities Electronic Trading team. The person in this role will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of Citi's next gen low latency execution platform in APAC. This platform encompasses critical components, including Algorithmic Trading, Smart Order Routing (SOR), Client and Exchange Connectivity, and high-performance market data processing.

The senior engineer will collaborate with a team of developers and work with the product development team, other technology team, production support, and quality assurance. Close alignment with the global strategy is important for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Core Development: Design, develop, and maintain the high-performance, low-latency electronic execution platform.

• Product Collaboration: Partner with traders, quant researchers, and clients to understand their needs and translate them into innovative product features and enhancements.

• Testing: Continuously improve and maintain testing frameworks, development tools, and environments.

• Agile & CI/CD: Contribute to and champion Agile development practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.

• Platform Support & Enhancement: Build and maintain common solutions for trading platform monitoring, trade reconciliation, application recovery, and other essential support functions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience with strong technical knowledge and expertise in Java and/or C#

• Proven experience developing automated trading platforms.

• Python knowledge is a plus.

• Strong understanding of automated testing techniques.

• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration processes.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set goals, and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills with a demonstrable ability to present and grasp complex concepts in a multicultural environment.
