Job summary

Talent-Merge is seeking an experienced LNG Technical Superintendent/Chief Engineer to oversee the technical performance and safe operation of LNG carriers in Singapore. You will monitor machinery condition, maintenance standards, and coordinate repairs, upgrades, and dry-dockings within approved budgets and schedules.

The role requires a marine engineering degree with strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills, plus a track record in LNG systems and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in a marine/related engineering field.
• Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical performance, reliability, and safe operation of LNG carriers.
• Monitor machinery condition, maintenance standards, and planned maintenance activities for readiness.
• Coordinate repairs, dry-docking, upgrades, and technical projects within schedules and budgets.
• Review technical reports, defect lists, and maintenance records to identify corrective actions.
• Guide Chief Engineers and vessel teams on troubleshooting and maintenance planning.
