Job summary

Tap Growth ai in Singapore is seeking an experienced LNG Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical performance, reliability, and safe operation of LNG carriers, ensuring readiness and compliance with class and flag-state standards.

You will monitor vessel machinery, coordinate maintenance and dry-docking, review reports, guide crews on troubleshooting and planning, manage budgets and spares, and liaise with shipyards and service providers to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or related engineering field.
• 5–10 years of seagoing LNG carrier experience as LNG Technical Superintendent or Chief Engineer on LNG vessels.
• Strong knowledge of LNG carrier machinery, propulsion systems, cargo equipment, maintenance, dry-docking, class requirements and maritime regulations.
• Leadership and stakeholder-management skills for managing multiple vessels and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical performance, reliability, and safe operation of LNG carriers.
• Monitor machinery condition, maintenance standards, and readiness.
• Coordinate repairs, dry-docking, upgrades within schedules and budgets.
• Review reports, defect lists, and performance data to identify corrective actions.
• Guide Chief Engineers and vessel teams on troubleshooting and maintenance planning.
• Ensure compliance with class requirements, flag-state regulations, and LNG safety standards.
• Manage technical budgets, spare parts, and repair expenditures.
• Liaise with shipyards, classification societies, equipment makers, contractors, and service providers.
• Support inspections, audits, investigations, and root-cause analysis while implementing corrective actions.
• Evaluate vessel performance and recommend improvements to efficiency and fuel consumption.
