Job summary

Seapeak in Singapore seeks a Vessel Manager to lead ship management teams and be accountable for vessel operations, safety, and performance. You will work with HSE, Marine Assurance, Marine HR, Commercial and Financial Analysts to meet KPIs and uphold the company brand.

The role requires leadership of Masters and Chief Engineers, oversight of budgets, vetting preparation, and ensuring compliance with class and statutory requirements on LNG vessels.

Qualifications

• Must hold Maritime Certificate of Competency or a Master license or have relevant vessel management experience.
• Experience operating gas carrier vessels at a management level is preferred.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health, safety and environment on all vessel activities.
• Ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective vessel operation with compliance.
• Provide day-to-day technical and operational support to assigned vessels.
• Manage vessel budgets and operating expenditure.
• Monitor performance and follow up on vessel management reports.
• Oversee dry-dockings and major repairs, including planning, execution and review.
• Coach Masters and Chief Engineers; participate in interviews and promotions.
• Conduct regular vessel visits and report condition to senior management.
• Drive vetting readiness and close out findings with Marine teams.
