Job summary

Kpler is seeking a Market Analyst to monitor LNG and gas markets, shape insights from cargo data, and track emerging market sectors. You will work with cross-functional teams to turn observations into product refinements and client value.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in gas/LNG market analysis, strong Excel skills, and proficiency in SQL and Python. You will present data-driven insights to Sales teams and collaborate with product and engineering to improve data pipelines and platform

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as Market Analyst focused on Gas or LNG.
• Experience handling large, unstructured datasets to identify trends.
• Strong Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
• Practical knowledge of SQL and programming/scripting languages like Python or VBA.
• Demonstrated ability to present data insights to clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Kpler LNG platform daily to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across cargo data and emerging market sectors such as LNG bunkering
• Structure, audit, and analyse large, disparate or unstructured trade datasets to track global energy flows and identify emerging market trends
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to convert market observations into technical improvements, refine data pipelines, and expand product features
• Conduct technical product demonstrations with global Sales teams to help clients extract strategic value from Kpler solutions
• Monitor developments across global gas markets, including infrastructure outages, trade rerouting, and maintenance events
• Collaborate with internal News and Insight teams and build industry networks to anticipate client intelligence needs
• Bridge physical market dynamics and advanced data analytics to maintain trusted cargo-level data and shape platform developments

• Monitor the Kpler LNG platform daily to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across cargo data and emerging market sectors such as LNG bunkering

• Practical knowledge of SQL and programming/scripting languages such as Python or VBA


• Demonstrated capability in analyzing large, complex, and unstructured datasets to identify trends and inform strategic decisions


• Highly motivated, self-starter mentality with passion for owning responsibilities and upholding trusted data accuracy and agility


• Strong logical thinking and attention to detail


• Experience presenting data findings, platform features, or market insights to external clients and commercial stakeholders
