Kerry Consulting in Singapore is seeking a Natural Gas & LNG Market Analyst to support development of long‑term fundamental views across global gas and LNG markets, with direct impact on portfolio strategy and investment decisions.
Reporting to Head of Market Analyst, you will build bottom‑up models, monitor LNG projects, run scenario analysis, and produce clear market commentary for senior stakeholders while collaborating with Origination, Strategy and Shipping teams.
A leading global energy company with a significant LNG portfolio and a strong focus on long‑term market strategy, portfolio evaluation and commercial optimisation. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Natural Gas & LNG Market Analyst to support the development of proprietary long‑term fundamental views across global gas and LNG markets, with direct impact on portfolio strategy and investment decisions.
Reporting to Head of Market Analyst. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining bottom‑up long‑term LNG and natural gas market models, covering supply, demand, liquefaction, regasification, trade flows and market balances. You will maintain country, regional and project‑level datasets, monitor LNG project developments, contracting, FIDs and commissioning, and assess their impact on long‑term market fundamentals. The role will also involve developing mid‑ to long‑term LNG and gas price views, running scenario analysis across project delays, outages, policy changes, infrastructure constraints and energy‑transition pathways, and producing clear analysis, charts and market commentary for senior stakeholders. You will work closely with Origination, Strategy, Shipping and other commercial teams to translate market questions into decision‑useful analysis and support wider portfolio and strategic initiatives.
The successful candidate will hold a degree in Economics or a related quantitative discipline, with around 2–4 years of experience in LNG, natural gas, power, energy markets, commodity research, consulting, analytics or a similar fundamentals‑focused role. Experience with supply‑demand modelling, forecasting, project databases or long‑term market outlooks is preferred, with direct LNG experience advantageous. Strong understanding of the LNG value chain, including upstream gas, liquefaction, shipping, regasification and downstream demand, is highly valued, particularly exposure to Asian LNG markets, US gas or LNG‑to‑power. Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel are essential, while Python, SQL or Power BI experience would be advantageous.
