Job summary
Tech Aalto Pte ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Mid Senior Unix Administrator with strong VMware expertise to join our infrastructure operations team. The role focuses on administering and optimizing Unix/Linux systems (primarily RHEL) and managing VMware vSphere environments to support enterprise applications.
You will work independently on complex issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in on-call rotations, and help design secure automation, monitoring, and disaster
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- 5 years of hands-on Unix/Linux system administration experience.
- 3 years of hands-on VMware vSphere ESXi and vCenter experience.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, NFS and networking concepts.
- Experience with storage systems and backup solutions.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure and administer Unix/Linux servers (primarily RHEL) in production and nonproduction environments.
- Manage and support VMware vSphere infrastructure including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters and virtual networking.
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning and capacity planning for Unix/Linux and VMware platforms.
- Implement security hardening, patching and compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, OS, virtualization, networking and storage issues.
- Automate tasks using Bash, Python, Perl or Ansible.
