Job summary

Prudential Hong Kong Limited is seeking an experienced Life Underwriter to assess medical and financial risks of applicants for life and health insurance policies. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate risks and exposures of potential clients.

Responsibilities include making decisions within authority, reviewing complex cases, servicing with Financial Consultants/Agency Leaders, and supporting underwriting matters in ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

Sound knowledge of medical conditions, insurance laws & regulations.
Good understanding of insurance products.
Customer-oriented, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Confident in problem solving and decision making.
Possesses project management skills.

Responsibilities

Assess medical and financial risks of applicants for life and health insurance policies.
Make decisions, within the given authority, that are consistent with underwriting standards and market trends.
Review cases with complex medical conditions and multiple risk factors, including face-to-face and virtual servicing with Financial Consultants/Agency Leaders and alignment with Business Development Managers/Directors.
Process a customer request end to end.
Provide support and services to Financial Consultants on underwriting matters and participate in ad hoc projects.
