Job summary

Kuraray Asia Pacific PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Senior Laboratory Assistant to conduct manual wet chemistry tests, quality inspections, and support calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.

You will manage chemicals, reagents, safety procedures, QA records, risk assessments, and training of junior technicians, reporting to the Supervisor. This hands-on role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or chemistry-related field required.
• Min 8 years’ experience in manual wet chemistry or manual lab testing.
• Hands-on experience with equipment calibration and reagent preparation.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all laboratory tests and samples and quality inspections assigned by the Supervisor.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment operating procedures and quality control procedures; competent in use of lab equipment.
• Perform raw material and finished product quality control analyses.
• Advance maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of lab equipment.
• Maintain chemicals and consumables inventory; prepare and standardize reagents; manage waste.
