Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced L3 Big Data Administrator to support enterprise-scale Big Data services within a leading banking environment in Singapore. The role focuses on production support, cluster administration, performance optimisation, security, capacity planning and high-severity incident management.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystems (HDFS, YARN, Spark, MapReduce, HBase) and strong Linux scripting skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Big Data / Data Platform Engineering with hands-on administration of Hadoop ecosystem technologies.
• Strong experience administering Hadoop (HDP) clusters, provisioning, scaling, patching and lifecycle management.
• Proven expertise with Apache Kafka for high-throughput data streaming, consistency and fault tolerance.
• Experience managing OpenSearch / Elasticsearch clusters, including indexing, queries and data ingestion pipelines.
• Support for Apache NiFi data ingestion and AWS EMR for scalable processing workloads.
• Strong Linux administration and Shell/Python scripting skills with monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for large-scale Big Data platforms.
• Administer and monitor Hadoop clusters and related components.
• Optimize performance and capacity planning for enterprise systems.
• Implement and enforce security measures including Kerberos and access controls.
• Handle high-severity incidents and root-cause analysis within SLAs.
