Job summary

Aleph is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer with a strong Java background and extensive experience in banking and payments. The role focuses on understanding complex business requirements, translating them into scalable technical solutions, and driving application development, system design, architecture and integration design.

You will design, develop, test, enhance and maintain Java-based banking and payment applications, APIs and microservices, while providing technical direction

Qualifications

• Strong Java background with hands-on experience in Java-based application development, architecture and technical analysis.
• Experience in banking and payments systems, with knowledge of payment processing APIs and flows.
• Understanding of REST, microservices and integration patterns.
• Ability to translate high-level requirements into technical specifications and working software.
• Familiarity with Swagger YAML to create API specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based banking and payment applications, APIs and microservices.
• Analyze complex requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions and architectures.
• Define architecture diagrams, data models, and integration patterns for end-to-end systems.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, Architects and Developers to deliver solutions.
• Provide technical leadership through reviews, guidelines, and problem-solving across the lifecycle.
