Job summary

Ikas International (Asia) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop and maintain enterprise integration solutions using Apache Camel and Spring Boot.

You will build and deploy Camel routes and Spring Boot microservices across REST, SOAP, JMS, Kafka, AMQP, SFTP and database integrations, while mentoring junior developers and contributing to development best practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technology with hands-on development and production support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Camel and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Cloud, Spring Data and Spring Security.
• Experience with Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, REST/SOAP, JSON, XML and XSLT.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
• Strong experience with JUnit, Testcontainers and integration testing.
• Good understanding of microservices, DDD, Agile/Scrum, DevOps and SRE principles.
• Experience in incident/problem management, performance tuning and production support.
• Experience with infrastructure migrations, DB/server migrations and version upgrades is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise integration solutions using Apache Camel and Spring Boot.

• Develop message routing, transformation, enrichment, validation and error-handling solutions.
• Optimise application performance, reliability and scalability, including monitoring, logging and health checks.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Provide 2nd/3rd-line production support, troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Engineers and Infrastructure teams.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
