Job summary

Straive is seeking a seasoned Java backend engineer to design and develop high‑throughput data processing and analytics systems. You will optimise memory usage, tune performance, and ensure scalable, reliable services.

You will work with PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server and data warehouses, build CI/CD pipelines, review code, and help enforce data security and regulatory compliance on cloud platforms such as AWS.

Qualifications

• 7+ years Java back-end development focused on data processing.
• 5+ years advanced SQL with query optimisation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Expert in performance tuning and memory optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Design & develop Java systems for data processing & analytics.
• Optimise memory usage and system performance.
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server) and data warehouses.
• Ensure data security & compliance with protection regulations.
