Job summary

Menrva Group is partnering with a global financial services business in Singapore to backfill a Senior Java Developer with a path to team lead. You will work on the CoreData stack, evolving the Data Service, BI architecture, and tools within a Linux-based AWS environment using Spark EMR, Scala, Kafka, Java, and Angular.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Expert in distributed systems and microservices.
• Proficient in Java; ability to learn Spark EMR, Kafka, Scala, Angular.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and modern data platforms.
• Strong communication with stakeholders across levels.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in design, development, and implementation of technical solutions, focusing on microservices for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate to troubleshoot and resolve complex challenges, ensuring robust systems.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement.
• Work with internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with goals.
• Own changes and act as the primary point of contact for delivered changes.
• Define and enforce best practices for development, architecture, and integration, with microservices as core model.
• Drive adoption of modern technologies and methodologies.
• Oversee migration and enhancement of legacy systems.
• Monitor and improve system performance, ensuring stability in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide ongoing support for critical systems, including incident resolution and proactive maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to production change review processes during builds and deployments.
