Job summary

ALLCAN INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior IT Operations Engineer in Singapore to maintain production infrastructure for online games and services.

You will manage Linux servers, cloud environments and databases, ensure high availability and performance, and automate tasks with Terraform, Ansible, Python and Shell scripts. You will monitor systems using Prometheus, investigate incidents and implement preventive improvements while maintaining thorough incident reports and recovery

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of IT operations or production support experience.
• Strong Linux administration and production troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with database backup/recovery, high availability, Kafka and Databricks.
• Experience with CI/CD, Terraform/Ansible, Python, Shell, SQL, and Prometheus.
• English for documentation; Mandarin for troubleshooting and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the availability, reliability and security of production infrastructure supporting online games and services.

• Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers, cloud infrastructure and production environments.

• Manage databases and middleware, including backups, recovery, high availability and performance optimisation.

• Operate and maintain Kafka and Databricks platforms.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Terraform, Ansible, Python and Shell scripts.

• Monitor system performance using Prometheus, investigate production incidents and implement preventive improvements.

• Maintain operational documentation, recovery procedures and incident reports.

Requirements

• Typically 5-10 years of relevant IT operations, infrastructure or production support experience. Candidates with around 10+ years of relevant experience are welcome.

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration and production troubleshooting.

• Practical experience with database backup and recovery, high availability, Kafka and Databricks operations.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform or Ansible, Python, Shell scripting, SQL and Prometheus.

• Experience supporting online games or high-traffic internet services is preferred.

• Proficiency in English for technical documentation and cross-team communication. Spoken Mandarin is required to troubleshoot production issues and coordinate incident response directly with Mandarin-speaking engineers who are not proficient in English.
