Job summary

Ascendion in Singapore is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical applications and platform services in a large-scale enterprise. This role blends Day 2 production support, CI/CD engineering, Kubernetes/container operations, and automation.

• We are hiring a DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical applications and platform services within a large-scale enterprise environment in Singapore.
• This is a hands-on role combining Day 2 production support, CI/CD engineering, Kubernetes/container operations, and automation.
• You will work across the full operational lifecycle—from deployment and monitoring through incident resolution, recovery, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Support mission-critical applications and platforms in a production environment.
• Investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and support containerized applications using Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
• Support production releases, rollback activities, and post-deployment validation.
• Automate repetitive operational and deployment activities using scripting.
• Monitor application and platform health, logs, alerts, and resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot across application, Linux, container, and platform layers.
• Develop proofs of concept for automation, DevOps, and platform improvements.
• Support patching, configuration management, certificates, and preventive maintenance.
• Contribute to high availability, disaster recovery, and service recovery activities.
• Maintain runbooks, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations teams.

Required Skills:

• Relevant experience in DevOps, production support, application support, platform engineering, or systems engineering.
• Hands-on experience supporting live enterprise or production systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent tools.
• Hands-on experience with Docker / Podman and Kubernetes.
• Experience with scripting or automation using Bash, Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with production deployments, incident troubleshooting, monitoring, and log analysis.
• Working knowledge of Git / source control and release processes.
• Comfortable troubleshooting across application and infrastructure layers.
