Job summary

Argyll Scott is assisting a leading global bank in filling a senior role within its High Net Worth insurance operations team, focusing on Variable Universal Life policies.

The candidate will run middle-office operations, own VUL case management, and collaborate with custodians and asset managers to resolve queries, while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust reporting in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years in custody or investment operations within a bank, custodian, or similar institution.
• Life insurance HNW operations experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of investment/custodial operations and life insurance processes, including local regulatory requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with strong control discipline and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

I'm working with a leading global bank on a new, more senior role in its High Net Worth insurance operations team, focused on Variable Universal Life (VUL) policies.

What you'll do

• Run middle-office operations and own VUL policy case management, in line with operational standards and regulatory requirements
• Work with custodians and asset managers to resolve transaction and operational queries
• Input and validate monthly valuations, and monitor policy liquidity and value
• Monitor underlying assets for sanctions exposure, illiquidity, and suitability
• Engage stakeholders to identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and communication breakdowns in VUL servicing
• Help improve the customer journey and operational service model
• Maintain SOPs, documentation, and internal and regulatory reporting

What you'll bring

• 4–5 years in custody or investment operations within a bank, custodian, or similar institution
• Life insurance HNW operations experience is an advantage
• Working knowledge of investment/custodial operations and life insurance processes, including local regulatory requirements
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• A problem-solving mindset, with strong control discipline and attention to detail
