Job summary

Income Insurance Limited in Singapore is seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional to lead audit planning, execution and reporting. You will develop audit objectives, scope and timelines, while guiding junior staff and coordinating with stakeholders across Business Units.

The role emphasizes strong analytical thinking, clear communication with senior management, and collaboration with the 1st/2nd lines of defence to identify risks and drive improvements in business processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial, Finance, Accountancy or Business or recognized professional qualification (e.g., CIA, CERA, ACA, ACCA).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience.
• Prior experience in financial sectors (insurance/investment) and/or data analytics.
• Actuarial qualifications or CIA certification are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit methodologies and project management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the Annual Audit plan preparation and assessment.
• Develop and communicate the audit plan including objective, scope, timeline and criteria to stakeholders.
• Detail scope, roles and responsibilities to audit team members.
• Lead, coach and supervise junior staff to perform audits.
• Liaise with stakeholders and monitor fieldwork progress.
• Evaluate internal control design and operating effectiveness and manage remediation activities.
• Communicate root causes, risks, and improvement recommendations.
• Build relationships with 1st and 2nd line of defence to identify red flags.
• Manage 3rd party audit support resources where applicable.
