Job description

About Us

Dyson is a global technology enterprise. We solve the problems others choose to ignore, with surprising new inventions that defy convention and simply work better. We’re growing fast and our ambition is huge – more categories, more locations and more people.

About the Role

The Senior Insights Manager - Beauty is a strategic insights leader responsible for generating, synthesising, and translating consumer, market, and competitive intelligence into actionable recommendations that drive the Dyson Beauty portfolio. The role leads the design and delivery of a broad range of primary research initiatives, including user trials, owner surveys, concept and proposition testing, conjoint analysis, pricing and elasticity studies, ensuring insights directly inform product proposition, pricing, and performance decisions across current and future innovations. In addition, the Senior Insights Manager oversees externally sourced market intelligence and integrates these insights into portfolio and product strategy, partnering closely with Portfolio, NPI, NPD, Competitor Intelligence, and Commercial teams to support data‑driven decision‑making throughout the product development lifecycle.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive research plans, including internal and external user trials, owner surveys, proposition trials, conjoint and quantitative studies, and ranging and price elasticity analysis.

  • Oversee execution of all trailing activities to test user acceptance of product propositions, features, and pricing, ensuring high‑quality, actionable data is delivered on time.

  • Own the process for externally purchased market data acquisition and analysis, integrating third‑party insights into regular portfolio and product reviews.

  • Synthesise research data and market insights into clear, actionable recommendations for specific projects (such as launch decisions, pricing optimisation, and feature prioritisation) and for the broader Beauty portfolio.

  • Determine the most effective methodology for each research need, balancing speed, rigor, budget, and resource requirements to best support decision‑making.

  • Serve as the key partner and advisor to the Portfolio Architect, Discovery Portfolio Manager, and Delivery Portfolio Manager, ensuring that all project and portfolio decisions are underpinned by robust user and market evidence.

  • Collaborate closely with Commercial Product Marketing, Competitor Intelligence, NPI/NPD, and Portfolio teams to ensure insights are embedded in all aspects of product development, launch planning, and range management.

  • Present complex research findings and business recommendations to executive leadership and other stakeholders in clear, compelling formats.

  • Track evolving consumer behaviours, competitor moves, and market dynamics to proactively identify risks and growth opportunities for the Beauty business.

  • Continuously improve processes for research and market intelligence gathering, leveraging best practices and new methodologies in insights generation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative and strategic thinker with demonstrated experience partnering cross‑functionally across Portfolio, Product Management, and Commercial teams. You will possess exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations and build alignment among diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders. Combining strong commercial acumen with effective project management capabilities, you will take a proactive, detail‑oriented approach to generating insights that inform business decisions and drive outcomes.

Previous skills & experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Market Research, Social Sciences, Business, Psychology, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in insights management, market research, or consumer research ideally within beauty, personal care, consumer technology, or FMCG sectors.

  • Demonstrated expertise planning and executing both qualitative and quantitative research, including concept testing, user trials, conjoint analysis, and price elasticity studies.

  • Skilled in data analysis and synthesis with experience integrating multiple sources (primary research and syndicated data) to deliver actionable business recommendations.

  • Experience managing third‑party research vendors and external data providers, with strong contract and budget oversight.

  • Strong knowledge of industry trends, competitor analysis, and consumer behaviour in the beauty or technology sector.

Benefits

  • Dyson Singapore monitors the market to ensure competitive salaries and bonuses.

  • Beyond that, you’ll enjoy a transport allowance and comprehensive medical care and insurance.

  • But financial benefits are just the start of a Dyson career.

  • Professional growth, leadership development and new opportunities abound, driven by regular reviews and dynamic workshops.

  • And with a vibrant culture, the latest devices, and a relaxed dress code reflecting our engineering spirit, it’s an exciting team environment geared to fueling and realising ambition.
