Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Design Engineer to lead the design and implementation of enterprise infrastructure. You will drive reliability, performance, and security across multi‑cloud and on‑prem environments, mentoring junior resources and guiding cross‑functional teams.

You will oversee incident response, capacity planning, and the release of new technologies, using IaC and automation to optimize operations and ensure high availability.

Responsibilities

• Leads the maintenance of ongoing reliability, performance and support of the infrastructure.
• Leads operating environments, responds to incidents and problems as well as planning for growth.
• Directs the release of new or upgraded technologies, including design, installation, configuration, maintenance and performance testing of OS and networks.
• Writes deployment scripts and automation using Infrastructure as Code.
• Ensures security of systems and inter‑application data transfers.
• Aims for maximum uptime for network services and servers.
• Plans capacity and designs related to infrastructure projects.
• Performs workload modelling and availability analysis across platforms and environments.
• Recommends changes to improve systems availability, reliability and performance.
• Maintains tools and back‑end utilities for capacity planning.
• Coordinates testing and analyzes test results.
• Analyses operational metrics to drive process improvements.
• Explores automation opportunities across tasks.
• Documents, monitors, reports and directs resolution of systemic issues.
• Monitors production outputs to meet SLAs and quality metrics.
• Supports design and review of new systems.
• Partners with internal and external clients when connectivity to client systems is involved.
