Job summary

NCS Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead design, implementation, and management of critical IT infrastructure. You will mentor junior engineers, drive operational excellence, and ensure security, scalability, and performance across servers, storage, networking, and cloud platforms.

The role requires 7+ years in infrastructure, 3+ years in senior/architect roles, and strong cloud, virtualization, and IaC skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or IT operations management.
• 3+ years in a senior, lead, or architect-level infrastructure role.
• Singapore Citizen due to government project sensitivity.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of networking, security protocols, and firewall management.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure solutions (servers, storage, networking, cloud).
• Manage and optimize virtualization environments with high availability and DR capabilities.
• Develop and implement IaC solutions to automate provisioning and config management.
• Lead incident response, analyze root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor performance and capacity using monitoring & logging tools; identify optimization opportunities.
• Establish and enforce IT operations standards, security protocols, and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across teams.
• Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to align infra with business goals.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies.
