Job summary

BNY Mellon seeks an IBOR Accounting Senior Specialist to own end-to-end IBOR processing, lead a Middle Office team, and ensure accurate reconcilations and data integrity across portfolios. You will drive issue resolution, mentor staff, and collaborate with internal and external partners to support downstream consumers.

The role emphasizes supervision, strong communication, and leveraging AI/digital tools to improve efficiency while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent
• 7+ years of total relevant work experience and experience in reconciliation and portfolio accounting preferred

Responsibilities

• Manages daily activities of a Middle Office IBOR team servicing multiple portfolios
• Oversees reconciliation reviews and issue escalations; assigns tasks and resolves issues
• Directs and develops staff, fosters teamwork and professional growth
• Ensures work volume meets quality and service standards; documents error reports
• Reviews exceptions and ensures compliance with internal, external, and regulatory procedures
• Provides product knowledge and technical assistance on complex problems; acts as escalation contact
• Instructs and reviews team work; conducts performance feedback
• Performs IBOR processing, monitoring, researching, and resolving complex inquiries
• Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to gather data and deliver recommendations
• Oversees IBOR portfolio accounting, reconciliations against custody including assets and value
• Monitors and reports IBOR activities; collaborates with utility teams for operations and close processes
• Engages with clients and external parties to ensure clear communication and issue resolution
• Escalates complex transactions to VP and guides team; applies AI/digital tools for efficiency
