Job summary

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OFFICE OF SINGAPORE is seeking a strategic planning and policy professional to shape Singapore’s IA/IP policy and national plans. The role focuses on advancing tax, finance, and valuation initiatives to help IA/IP-rich enterprises grow and compete globally.

You will collaborate with government agencies, industry partners and IP practitioners to strengthen Singapore’s IA/IP ecosystem and contribute to cross-agency efforts under the IP Strategy 2030.

Qualifications

• Typically 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably in taxation, finance, innovation, intellectual property, consulting or public policy.
• Good understanding of international taxation and/or financial markets, with experience in tax or finance-related roles being an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into practical policy or programme recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Good project management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams, agencies and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the Singapore IP Strategy 2030 by contributing to government-wide efforts and cross-agency workstreams.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and ecosystem development by building relationships to enable enterprises to leverage IA/IP for growth and market expansion.
• Develop initiatives relating to IA/IP market enablers and plan engagements to promote adoption of tools in disclosure, valuation, taxation and financing.
• Foster international collaboration and thought leadership in IP commercialisation, valuation, financing and related taxation policy.
• Support policy formulation through research, industry consultations and horizon scanning to inform IA/IP-related policies.
