Job summary

Wood is recruiting an I&C Engineer in Singapore to support capital projects, ensuring zero safety or quality incidents and completion within approved timelines and budgets.

The role ensures projects meet engineering, safety, and regulatory standards and align with operational excellence, with responsibilities spanning studies, specifications, vendor reviews, and field coordination. 8+ years' experience and a strong I&C background are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical, power, LNG or pharmaceutical plant projects.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems including field instrumentation, control valves, analyzers, PLC/DCS/SCADA, and familiarity with ISA, IEC, IEEE, API, ISO standards.
• Proficient in I&C engineering software for instrument sizing, control system engineering, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out instrumentation and control system studies (e.g. control philosophies, instrument sizing, loop analysis).
• Prepare I&C job specifications, instrument datasheets, control narratives, and loop diagrams under guidance of senior engineers.
• Execute work in accordance with contract requirements, project procedures, codes, standards and client specs.
• Review vendor drawings, calculations, software documentation, and data sheets for instruments, control systems and packages.
• Maintain project documentation and engineering deliverables according to Quality Management Procedures.
• Liaise with interdisciplinary groups to ensure effective project execution.
• Deliver high-quality engineering work within budgets and schedules.
