Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer – Marine & Offshore Design

Job summary

Kuok Group Singapore seeks an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to independently perform HVAC design (2D & 3D), equipment sizing, and mechanical design to meet Class and Technical specifications within schedule.

You will report to project leads, collaborate cross-functionally, and handle New Building, Repair, Upgrading, and Conversion projects across marine/offshore sectors. Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or related field is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in the Machinery/HVAC newbuilding design in the Marine/ Offshore industry.
• Familiar with AutoCAD/ MS Office / AVEVA.
• Familiar with Class rules, Statutory requirement.
• Good knowledge of HVAC/machinery/ piping design.
• Good communication and analysis

Responsibilities

• Assist Section Project Lead in day to day operations.
• Perform the assigned HVAC & mechanical task on schedule and with quality.
• Report to project for the assigned tasks (Man-hour/Schedule etc.) & support in HVAC & mechanical technical issue.
• Collaborate with other team members to drive the overall project progress.
• Prepare & Review HVAC calculation, specification & vendor's documents.
• Prepare & Review HVAC 2D SLD/DLD design, 3D model, production related drawings and provide site supports.
• Coordinate with Shipyard /Consultant / Vendor/ Class Responsible to Mechanical Project Section Lead/ Mechanical Technical Lead
• Project Handling: New building project, Repair, Upgrading, Conversion project
