Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Singapore seeks an experienced engineer to lead a team designing equipment hookups and coordinating with equipment engineers and vendors. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Facilities Engineering.
• 5-8 years of experience in semiconductor facilities or facilities engineering environments.
• Proven experience in equipment hook-up design, utility distribution, capacity planning, and space management.
• Strong project management skills including cost control, contract management, tender evaluation, and scheduling.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in project commissioning, handover processes, and documentation control.
• Ability to lead multiple projects independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly reports for Hook-up Section Manager/Manager.
• Hold regular meetings to develop and improve equipment schematics.
• Source for current cost competitive components.
• Lead to improve hookup methods and reliability.
• Hold contractor meetings to disseminate information and keep projects on track.
• Collaborate with Purchasers, Section Head and Associate Engineers on specs, tender docs and progress claims.
• Head and conduct FMEAs and QITs to prevent hookup system failures.
• Represent GlobalFoundries in hook-up design, negotiations, and project meetings.
• Submit proposals to upgrade facilities' utilities and systems.
• Standardize Hook-up operation procedures across GF.
• Coordinate between Engineering, Chemical sections and Contractors for hookup projects.
• Provide training for fresh staff.
• Control costs and review changes to prevent overruns.
• Ensure proper closing of contracts/projects with proper documentation.
• Compile and submit tests, commissioning reports, and acceptance documents.
