Job summary
WS ENGINEERING & FABRICATION PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced logistics professional to manage complex international shipments from booking through completion.
You will review shipments for proper closure of operational and commercial matters, investigate freight costs and discrepancies, and coordinate with freight forwarders on outstanding issues, including charges and service recovery as applicable.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of international logistics and freight forwarding practices.
- Minimum 8-15 years of relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain or project logistics.
- Experience in international freight operations, including air, sea and multimodal transportation.
- Experience in supporting cross-functional project teams and coordinating with freight forwarders, suppliers and customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex international shipment execution from booking to completion.
- Review shipments to close operational and commercial matters.
- Investigate unexpected freight costs, freight discrepancies and service issues with service providers.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders on outstanding operational matters and charges.
- Coach junior logistics personnel and provide data for planning improvements.
