Job summary

Standard Chartered Singapore is seeking a Chapter Area Lead for WRB Tech to drive people development and capability building across front-end (web & mobile) and back-end technologies. The role focuses on building a scalable operating model, capacity planning, and delivering reusable UI assets with a governance framework.

You will lead technical standards, architecture alignment, and talent development while ensuring the chapter does not own individual applications but drives strategic technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 14 years of experience in backend development with strong proficiency in Java/Spring or Python/Django.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in Swift and/or Kotlin for mobile platforms.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and API design.

Responsibilities

• Establish a catalogue of UI components and reusable assets.
• Define CI/CD pipelines for iOS, Android, HarmonyNext, and web content management.
• Define technology strategy and roadmap to create microservices and reusable APIs.
• Provide inputs in technology evaluations and RFPs for backend development.
• Ensure critical non-functional requirements and robust deployment topology.
