Job summary

Micron is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Facilities Central Engineering, Water & Waste to lead a multi-discipline engineering team across U.S. and Asia, providing system ownership and technical support from design through operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Water & Waste system engineering across engineering, design, construction, operations and maintenance.
• Technically lead the Multi-Discipline Engineering team focused on strategic and operational excellence.
• Support building a skilled, strategic Engineering team for Water & Waste, and other subject areas (recruitment, training, staffing, retention).
• Invest time in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members' careers.
• Drive team engagement, inspiring and motivating the team to achieve goals.
• Provide leadership on Global Facilities initiatives with transparency and direction for the team.
• Assist the Director in building a coordinated strategic plan, driving innovation and initiatives.
• Support network efforts to implement and monitor continuous improvement for Micron's programs.
• Identify and monitor KPIs for the department and set goals based on global priorities.
• Supervise activities for planning, execution, and completion of Greenfield FAB Design and Construction projects in U.S. and Asia, delivering on time, on budget, and to high quality.
• Collaborate with Global/Regional Facilities, Site Facilities, Construction, Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, IT, Layout and Planning, and others.
• Establish and maintain best-in-class Engineering and Construction practices focusing on innovation and efficiency.
• Drive cost management and financial accountability in construction activities.
• Ensure project scope, schedule, and cost meet needs and collaborate with partners to deliver objectives.
• Review design packages timely and provide documented comments and feedback.
• Ensure designs comply with standards, codes, and regulations.
• Supervise progress and provide engineering and design support during construction.
• Provide support for project cost and schedule estimates and justification for approval.
• Coordinate consultant resources.
