Job summary

EPAM Singapore seeks a Senior GIS Engineer (Smallworld) to build and support geospatial solutions for a property intelligence platform. You will develop Smallworld applications, optimize data pipelines, and collaborate with data engineering and product teams to deliver location-based capabilities in production.

You will lead GIS architecture decisions, troubleshoot complex production issues, and mentor engineers while working with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) and GitHub CI/CD.

• Expert in GE Smallworld
• Hands-on Magik programming
• Strong geospatial and GIS architecture knowledge
• Experience integrating GIS with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS)
• SQL proficiency for spatial queries and transforms
• Python for data processing and pipelines
• CI/CD and source control working with GitHub
• Strong cross-team communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Smallworld applications, services and components
• Build and optimize spatial data pipelines and ETL for property datasets
• Collaborate with data engineering and product teams on geospatial features
• Provide technical leadership on GIS architecture and spatial models
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across GIS apps and datasets
• Create and maintain technical docs, standards, and runbooks
• Support CI/CD workflows and release practices using GitHub
• Mentor engineers on Smallworld and GIS best practices
