Job summary

Activate Interactive is seeking a senior GIS engineer to lead ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise projects in Singapore. You will design and implement REST APIs, develop FME workflows, and optimize geospatial backend services. The role requires strong Java Spring Boot capabilities and cloud experience.

You will work on government GIS initiatives, collaborating with frontend teams and stakeholders, and mentor junior developers while ensuring performance, security, and scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of GIS development and spatial data analysis experience.
• Expertise with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise suite (Server, Portal, SDK, ArcGIS Pro).
• Extensive experience with FME Desktop/Server.
• REST API development and consumption for spatial services.
• Strong spatial databases knowledge (Oracle Spatial, PostGIS).
• Python scripting for GIS automation.
• Knowledge of web mapping standards (OGC).
• Experience in agile development and SGTS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and customization of GIS apps using ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Design and implement FME workflows for spatial data transformation.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for geospatial services and clash analysis.
• Optimize spatial queries and GIS service performance.
• Provide technical leadership in geospatial architecture decisions.
• Design backend services with Java Spring Boot and microservices.
• Implement cloud-native solutions with AWS and manage data models.
• Mentor juniors, conduct code reviews, and participate in planning.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot production issues.
